Other Hubs and libraries are not affected.

A bustling job fair held in a large indoor gym with rows of booths and displays set up by various organisations. Attendees, including job seekers and representatives, interact and network around the booths. The floor is marked with sports court lines, and the space is filled with activity, as people explore career opportunities.     Cardiff Council’s Into Work Advice Service is hosting a FREE Jobs Fair in partnership with Careers Wales, Maximus and DWP, with something for everyone!

    Top Tips for the Cardiff Jobs Fair

    We’re thrilled to welcome you to The Cardiff Jobs Fair on Thursday, 6th February 2025! Here’s everything you need to know to make the most of the event and leave a lasting impression.

    1. Plan Your Arrival
    • When and Where:
      • The event runs from 10am to 2pm at Sports Wales Sophia Gardens, National Sport Centre.
      • For directions, check Google Maps or visit Sport Wales for more location details.
    • What to Do on Arrival:
      • Head to the welcome desk at reception, where you’ll:
        • Scan your Eventbrite QR code for entry.
        • Be offered the chance to sign up for Into Work Employment Support for ongoing career guidance (learn more here).
    • Accessibility for All:
      • The venue is fully accessible to all attendees.
      • A quiet hour will take place from 1pm to 2pm. If you feel you’d benefit from attending during this time, you’re very welcome to do so.
    1. Be Prepared
    • Bring Copies of Your CV:
      • A printed CV is a must! If you don’t have one ready, you can visit an Into Work Job Club before the event to print your CV. Find a location here.
    • Dress to Impress:
      • There’s no need for formal attire, but smart casual is ideal. Make sure you look neat, fresh, and professional—first impressions matter!
    • Free Wi-Fi:
      • Stay connected throughout the event with free Wi-Fi.
    1. Navigate the Event Like a Pro
    • Map & Attendee List:
      • Check out the room layout map and a full list of attendees to plan which stands you’d like to visit first.
    • Engage with Employers:
      • Speak confidently, ask thoughtful questions, and show enthusiasm for opportunities. Remember, this is your chance to stand out!
    • Look for the “Happy to Help” Badges:
      • Around the event, there will be staff wearing Happy to Help badges. If you have any questions or need assistance, don’t hesitate to ask them.
      • These staff members will also have a QR code on their lanyards, which you can scan to sign up for our future Jobs Fairs.
    1. Facilities to Make Your Day Easier
    • Refreshments:
      • A café is on-site serving hot and cold drinks, as well as snacks. There’s a cosy seating area where you can take a break if needed.
    1. After the Fair
    • Follow up with the contacts you make and stay connected. Many employers appreciate a thank-you email or a LinkedIn connection request.
